Nusatani Spot: fresh produce as a one-off purchase

A one-off purchase from the volume that is not committed to our supply-agreement buyers that week. You ask what is available, we quote a day price, you confirm, and that confirmation is the purchase contract for this order. What Spot does not have is a framework agreement for regular deliveries: no minimum term, no promise of next week, demand-driven prices.

What Spot is

Every week some volume is not committed: a block yields more than planned, a supply-agreement buyer takes less. Instead of pushing it onto the market, we offer it to Spot buyers first. Same farms, same grading, same lot label on every crate. What you do not get is a reserved block, a fixed price or a guaranteed volume next week. Every Spot order is still a binding purchase in its own right, confirmed in writing; it simply does not commit either side to the next one.

Get a day quote

We reply with what is uncommitted that week, the grade, the quantity and a day price. The quote is valid on the day it is given.

Confirm, then collect or receive

Collect at the farm gate in Kelantan, or receive it on one of our existing delivery routes where one fits. Your confirmation of the quote is the purchase contract for this order. Payment as agreed in it; where nothing else is agreed, regular business customers pay 30 per cent on delivery and 70 per cent within one week, new customers pay 100 per cent on delivery, and export orders are paid in advance.

Where Spot stops

Spot is honest flexibility, not a cheaper supply agreement. These limits are why most regular buyers move to Daily.

  • No reserved block and no volume guarantee: what is available depends on the week.
  • Grade as available. You see the grade before you confirm, but you cannot specify it in advance.
  • Day price, valid on the day of the quote. It moves with the market.
  • Buyers with fixed volumes booked regularly at a fixed price are served first. In the monsoon months, November to February, harvests fall by 50 to 60 per cent across all lines and spot volumes are limited, but every crop is still available in some quantity.
  • No contract growing and no custom packing. Standard crates, cartons or bags as available.

Questions buyers ask us

Is a Spot order binding?+

Yes. Each Spot order is a purchase contract: our quote and your written confirmation fix crop, grade, quantity, price and delivery. What Spot does not include is a framework agreement for regular deliveries, so neither side is committed to the next order.

Is there a minimum quantity for Spot?+

For delivery, the indicative minimum depends on the distance and is at least 250 kg; collected at the farm gate, there is no minimum. What is available depends on the crop and the week. We state the quantity in the quote; ask on WhatsApp and you get a straight answer.

Can Spot become a regular order?+

Yes. If you buy the same crop most weeks, a Daily supply agreement gets you a reserved volume, fixed delivery days and a price held for the contract period.

Is Spot produce lower quality?+

No. It comes from the same farms and passes the same grading. What differs is planning: the grade and the quantity are what is available, not what you specified.

How is Spot paid?+

As agreed in the purchase contract for the order. Where nothing else is agreed: regular business customers 30 per cent on delivery and 70 per cent within one week of delivery; new customers 100 per cent on delivery; export orders in advance.
